Thanks Andrew, I have attempted to see if there are any glaring changes to Chrome's settings but since I have no idea of the consequences, I've left them alone. I suspect this behaviour is something to do with the recent installation of KB5004237 which has 'infected' my system with all manner of 'features' some irritating, others downright annoying and none of them useful!Īnyone else wishing for a time machine to undo this mischief?Įdited by six-h, 24 July 2021 - 06:34 AM. sometimes it works (with the extra box), sometimes the box declares it is empty! Some times the 'x Tabs' entry displays a box declaring it is 'Empty', This extra box is a new 'feature', previously, just clicking on the 'x Tabs' entry itself was sufficient to invoke another instance of Chrome with the previous session intact. Somewhere in the last few days, this behaviour has changed/become more erratic.
I can then close the initially opened instance which just has my 'Homepage' showing and continue where I left off in my last session. Next session, I open Chrome and click the three dots, go to 'History' and select '6 Tabs', '7 Tabs', or what ever is listed and click on that entry to restore the tabs I was last using which appear in another instance of Chrome.
Usually at the end of the day/night, I just click the red 'X' to close all tabs. I'm using Win 10 ver 21H1 build 19043.1110 and Chrome Browser Version.
