I also spent the better part of yesterday afternoon chatting with Contact Support, who at various points told me that the tablet was designed to work that way (um, no), that no Windows apps will open without internet connection (false), or simply ended the chat when it seemed like they were in over their heads. This even includes built-in apps such as calculator (?).ġ. Desktop (or legacy) apps open fine in airplane mode, but anything downloaded from the Windows Store will not. I have a number of modern apps that refuse to open unless I am actively connected to the internet.
